Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

This program is for applicants who are planning to settle in Regina, Saskatoon, or any other city in Saskatchewan, under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

Successful applicants will receive a Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will speed-up the Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa application process.

Under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), you may qualify under one of eight categories:

  • Saskatchewan PNP - Skilled Workers
  • Saskatchewan PNP - Family Members
  • Saskatchewan PNP - Long Haul Truck Drivers
  • Saskatchewan PNP - Health Professionals
  • Saskatchewan PNP – Students
  • Saskatchewan PNP – Farmers
  • Saskatchewan PNP – Entrepreneurs
  • Saskatchewan PNP - Hospitality Sector Project

Saskatchewan PNP - Skilled Workers

To qualify as a Skilled Worker, an applicant must have a permanent full-time Saskatchewan job offer either:

  • As a skilled worker/professional/managerial position/designated trade; or
  • As a worker who has already worked in Saskatchewan for a minimum of six (6) months on a temporary work permit.

Saskatchewan PNP - Family Members

To qualify as a under this category, an applicant must have a family member in Saskatchewan who is a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident and has been residing in Saskatchewan for at least one (1) year.

 

Supporting family members include: parents, sisters/brothers, daughters/sons, aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, grandparents, first cousins, step-family members or in-laws of the same relationship. 

 

The applicant must:

  • Have a signed affidavit of support from one or more family members in Saskatchewan that indicates they will provide settlement assistance;
  • Be between the ages of 18-49;
  • Have completed at least one year of post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship and have received a diploma, certificate or degree;
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience in their field of education/training;
  • Have sufficient language capability to be employable in Saskatchewan; and
  • Have a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan or, intend to find work in Saskatchewan and have adequate funds to live in the province after arrival.

Saskatchewan PNP - Long Haul Truck Drivers

To qualify as a Long Haul Truck Driver, an applicant must:

  • Have a temporary job offer from a Saskatchewan trucking firm;
  • Obtain a Canadian work permit;
  • Have a valid trucking license on par with a Saskatchewan Class 1A drivers license;
  • Have at least two years of trucking experience;
  • Be able to travel to the United States, if required by the employer; and
  • Have a reasonable command of English.

Saskatchewan PNP - Health Professionals

To qualify as a Health Professional, an applicant  must:

  • Be working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit; and
  • Have an offer of full-time permanent employment.

Saskatchewan PNP – Students

To qualify as a Student, an applicant  must:

  • Have graduated from a program of at least one academic year of full-time study in Canada and received a certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized Canada post secondary educational institution;
  • Have worked for a Saskatchewan employer for a minimum of six months under a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) post graduation work permit; and
  • Have a current permanent full-time job offer from their employer.

Saskatchewan PNP – Farmers

To qualify as a Farmer, an applicant must:

  • Have a net worth of $500,000;
  • Supply a signed offer to purchase a Saskatchewan farming operation, or land for a new farm operation;
  • Visit Saskatchewan within the two-year period prior to making a signed offer to purchase; and
  • Demonstrate that they are knowledgeable farm operators.

Saskatchewan PNP – Entrepreneurs

To qualify as an Entrepreneur, an applicant must:

  • Have a minimum personal net worth of CND$ 250,000;
  • Make a minimum investment of CND$ 150,000 into the a new business in Saskatchewan;
  • Have proven experience in managing a business;
  • Have significant funds for establishing a new business or partnership in an existing Saskatchewan business, in which the applicant will have an ongoing management role;
  • Complete a business plan demonstrating that the business will create jobs in Saskatchewan be of significant benefit to key sectors of the Saskatchewan economy;
  • Undertake at least one trip to Saskatchewan to meet with industry associations, regional economic development authorities, businesses, and other organizations as appropriate;
  • Provide a full disclosure of business assets and debt; and
  • Make a deposit of CND$ 75,000 into a trust account and sign a Performance Agreement based on your Business Proposal or Relocation and Settlement Plan.

Saskatchewan PNP - Hospitality Sector Project

To qualify under this category, an applicant must:

  • Hold a valid Temporary Work Permit for one of the following occupations;
    • Food/Beverage Server
    • Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper
    • Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff
  • Have been employed by a Saskatchewan employer in one of those positions for a minimum of six (6) months;
  • Have completed a minimum of Grade 12 education (or equivalent); and
  • Have sufficient English language ability for continued employment in Saskatchewan.
