WHY IMMIGRATE TO CANADA?

Canada the second largest country in the world and is one the leading G-7 Nations with a population of approximately 33 million people. It is a highly developed country, with excellent working conditions, an outstanding education system, a very high standard of living and a health care system ranked one of the best in the world. The United Nations has ranked Canada the ‘best place to live’ for five consecutive years. Their surveys are based on quality of life, educational opportunities, unemployment and crime rates, and life expectancy.

Each year, Canada welcomes more than 200,000 new immigrants. The diversified backgrounds and cultures are what makes Canada unique. Multiculturalism is promoted to help maintain this unique "melting pot".

No matter where you come from, once you are a landed immigrant you have all the rights of a Canadian citizen. These rights are protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Should you wish to become a citizen, you can do so after you have lived in Canada for three years. As a Canadian citizen, you can apply for a Canadian passport and you are eligible to vote. All immigrants under the skilled category permanent residence visa would be eligible to access:

Free Medical Service:

All Permanent Residents landing in Canada have access to free medical coverage. Canadians enjoy the second highest life expectancy in the world at 79.1 years because of its world class health care.

Free Education:

All landing immigrants become eligible for free education to children up to grade 13 (grade 12 in some provinces). University and college education is highly subsidized for Canadian citizens and landed Immigrants.

UIC (Unemployment Insurance):

An employee, who has worked for a minimum of 20 weeks and thereafter gets unemployed, is entitled to 60% of the last wages drawn.

Welfare Allowance:

A Citizen or an immigrant having tried for a job is not able to find one and is unable to support himself and his family, is entitled to a welfare allowance from the government.

Canada Pension Plan:

The Retirement Pension is a monthly payment to people who have contributed to the Canada Pension Plan and who are at least 60 years old. The pension is designed to replace about 25% of the earnings on which one has paid into the Plan. One is eligible for pension if one has made at least one valid contribution (payment) to the Plan, is at least 65 years old or is between the age of 60 and 64 and has partially or completely stopped working.

Work and Study in USA:

All immigrants and family members on obtaining Canadian Citizenship would become eligible to live in United States of America on a study program or on securing an employment.
